Submitted by: spacelord
I'm looking for sites that allow you to buy tax certificates for real estate online. (Not cars, and planes!!)

Visit the County websites of the respective sates. They will have a list of properties that are to be auctioned due to tax liens.
Here is the website that provides a list of all the county websites in the US. Just click on the state and select the county. Look for Recorder or Clerk that says Go to Data Online.

Tax sales are held by the county and are broken up into two different kind of sales: tax deeds, and tax liens.
A lot of counties are doing tax sales through online auction houses. I know a few counties in California are using bid4assets.com.
Check with the county in which you would like to make a purchase. Find out what the rules of sale are, and whether the winning bid gets a lien or a deed at auction. They will also tell you whether they do online auctions or not.
Word of advice - do your due diligence on the rules, and on the properties you are looking to purchase liens on… as they say, buyer beware.

These guys update there list daily.
You dont have to signup, the front page of the site shows list of Live auctions for tax lien certificates nationwide and include the current bids (a bunch of tax lien sales under $500.) Hope that helps…
